jsf's spinachpotatelentil fishcakes

Time for a recipe eh. <composing in true thugkitchen style>

I call this 'jsf's spinachpotatelentil fishcakes' or 'jsf's italakes'
Practically a bajan fishcake with lentil peas, spinach and potatoes [potates sound so much more kosher].

So you will need;
some saltfish [the pack you buy for $7 something]
about 2 handfuls of spinach leaves [make sure you tear them up]
half cup full of lentils [I counted 243 peas]
3 potatoes
1 and a half cups of flour [flour is basically just to blend the mixture together into a ball or whatever]
italian herbs like basil and thyme. salt and pepper [whatever seasonings you feel like]
3 teaspoons of some good ole bajan peppersauce [to give some heat]
1 hot pepper chopped small [more heat]
1 teaspoon of baking powder [for the island uprising, obviously]
not using any eggs but I guess you could beat one and add it if you want that texture-y taste
just a uhhgf of butter or oil
oil to fry the damn things in

right, prepare your saltfish by boiling for probably 4 minutes [to deduct some of the saltiness] then strain.
prepare your lentils and potatoes, boil them till soft enough to crush together. pour off your water and scrush them like ants.
almost halfway there already. get a big bowl, put your saltfish, seasonings, lentilpotate mix, basically put every damn thing in the bowl and mix it up. stir in a little water gradually till it's a thick pullable dome of pluff.
now prepare to fry. heat your pan, add some oil. spoon out medium sized clumps of your mix and fry till.. [you should know when innit]

makes a good set of SPLFC's, like enough to feed probably 2 people, six or seven or six and a half each.
I'll take a pic sometime.
