Appreciated intelligent rap flow

I appreciate rap flow, you know.. the type filled with puns (any literary device really) and yet still hitting the rhymes on the beat. Artists like Don Trip, Chamillionaire, Fabulous, Method Man  Asher Roth, some Weezy and some Yeezy, B.o.B, Common, Plan B, Nas, Papoose, Lupe, Raekwon, Mike Skinner, Childish Gambino, Frisco and Joell Ortiz.... Heard some top lines from this guy Joey Bada$$ and even 'back in the day' Cassidy of late. A certain high level of intellect is need to interpret the plays. I especially love the lines where you have to remember what you just heard, then it hits..... like WOW!EPIC!! >>>>> In Barbados, we have rappers like SunRokk, RhyMinister and Daba of upperclass intelligence.

Few of my rated lyrics from Don Trip's 'Guerilla' followed by Chamillitary's 'Ill mind of Koopa';

I got paid and got a chauffeur I'm a rider til the end
Got an extender on the .40 and that .40 got a twin
All I know is dirty money but when I count it I feel clean
>>>>>
And you can say I run this shit but you can't ever say I ran
Say the money keep me high oh how I pray I never land
But I don't pray so no wonder why I feel down
Guess I'm a workaholic baby I'm not into playin'
But I ball as if I'm playin' and givin' up's not in my plans
The top is where I stand and the top floor is where I'm stayin'
Naw I'm not invitin' you to visit I'm just sayin'
Sorry I don't recognize you talkin' unless you payin'
>>>>>
Guess I'm overaggressive, shootin' like a director
And you don't even have to act, you can get shot just bein' the extra
Your girl give me retarded brain, shit, I feel special
>>>>>
Party every night, I feel festive
Trappin' like the laws ain't got the balls to come arrest us
School of hardknocks and gettin' pussy's an elective
Gettin' rich was sorta easy, stayin' rich is more impressive
>>>>>
Damn I need a massage, my life so very stressful
My masseuse keep talkin' behind my back that bitch better be careful
I tried fuckin' with rap niggas, call myself bein' helpful
But you think we here for friends? You got it twisted like a pretzel
Fuck you and yo career, hope you hear me loud and clear
The trap is a magician wand I make you dissappear
Yeah I heard yo bars, 3 Musketeers
Milkyway Snicker that shit give you diarrhea
But you so full of shit, none of the shit you say is real
Where's the car you say you drive that don't come out til late next year?
It's okay, I wait til you come up with new ideas
You spent that in the mall? Blow that kinda dough in Seers
All I talk is money now that's music to my ears
I'm so motherfuckin' fly that birds and planes are my peers
Boy them skinny jeans make you niggas look queer
My pants never that tight, even when my pockets filled
My bitches pop they pussy, pop they gum and pop pills
And I fuck 'em for free, pussy's never on my bill

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

You will never see a rat when you’re looking at Trip
I unbutton my pants and zip my lips
That means I piss ‘em "off" cuz I don’t say shit
I’m prepared to face the outcome for shit I’ve did
I know the rules and guide lines for the life I live
I’m aware of the consequence, I know what’s at risk
I took that chance, Mr. Stepped & Slipped
Never lived with regret so I ain’t dying with guilt
>>>>>
"I teach my son to do better"
Show him my achievements along with all my errors
No, I am not perfect and I won’t live forever
So I’m trying to write my boy instead of my berretta
On my "heckler" or whatever
Daddy used to sell dope now daddy selling records
He never sold crack and didn’t crack "under" pressure
And he’s more of a man than a yard stick could measure
Carry the load to keep my family together
School of hard knocks, I should get an A for effort
And mama kinda bitter, she upset because I left ‘"her"
Now I don’t get to see you, unless I’m on a schedule
According to the judge I’m a menace, a terror, a nuisance, an unfit father and a devil
It’s fucked up, I didn’t get a fair shake
But you don’t have to worry JJ
Cuz help is on the way
>>>>>
If these niggers cool then I’m bellow zero
>>>>>
She wax hers off
P**sy cat with no whiskers
Bout to kill the p**sy
One more victim
I only got one rule, no kissing

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I know you think I’m a rapper the title don’t really suit me
I’d love to be called a rapper, but rappers are really groupies
And groupies wanna be rappers, call me a rapper loosely
Wouldn’t wanna be in a similar category
Of anyone with a story for Jerry Springer or Maury
Story’s a made up story, your story don’t add up for me
We in a world where publicity stunting is mandatory
Either you’re Super Dave or a stupid slave
Or acting a stupid slave cause ya trying to be super paid
Listened to all your tunes, what is this auto-tune?
If this was the NBA then you all woulda got a broom
Woulda swept ya right out the series for copying other plays
It worked for the other team, so you trying to throw up a tre
I would empty the bench and replace all you clowns any day
>>>>>
I’m glad that everybody learned how to surf
But I’m shark under that water that’s emerging to murk
Fresh, like I’m allergic to dirt
So when I kill em all I’ll try not to get blood on my shirt
Every verse is a keeper, ain’t a price for a feature
I just do em to do em, my pockets don’t really need ya
If dissing is your procedure, promise you I’ll delete ya
Trying to stay in my lane but you mention me and it’s Ether

---------------------------------------------------------

Lot to read huh.. I'll conclude with the opening line from Fabulous' 'Swag Champ'

Now I don't jerk off in public, but I been outdoing myself!

iMPROV story

The below story was created by my flame and I on my ipod 2g in the notes app, using the ingenious method of completing each other's sentences i.e you start a sentence, I continue. Much like improv writing, developing the plot as you go along. The resulting story in all of it's glory, complete with typos and all >>

There was once a cat named jamie who had a pet mouse named susie. They lived in a witch hut in a forest fafar away. Every day jamie and Susie wood wait for the witch to leave so they can go out in the forest and hunt wolves. 1 day the witch's sister kera came to visit. She was very old but wise. She called for Jamie and Susie but she didn't hear them. She journeyed through the forest and was taken aback by wat she saw. For there she saw jamie n Susie with a family of catmice. They were surprised to see her n thought she would tell her sister so Jamie and Susie attacked kera. Being wise, she quickly escaped and summoned her sister who went and cast a spell so that cats and mice would never live together. The end.

btw, twas' a pain in the bleeding bollocks to extract the note from the notes app via the ipod. Had to ftp the root directory then rename the filename notes.idx to .html.

Bathsheba of St.Joseph on a summer evening 2012

Selection of landscapes from midyear 2012

In Summer 2012, I was blessed to spend most weekends with my most-loved companion exploring various places of interests. Above one can find a selection of landscapes and such we took with the very trust FH25.

1+2.
That's the south_east coast? The view directly behind and in front of the Ragged Point Lighthouse.
3.

A typical Barbados summer day on the boardwalk. Sun, sea, good times and stuff. Oh and sandwiches ;)
4.
Taken between the fences at the recently finished Coverley Villages. The main court in that development is really coming together. Great job.
5.
Sandy Point, St. Lucy. Basically our first official summer 2012 adventure. Spooky n Short. Great landscape.

Crop Over Soca 2012 songs I love so far

Crop Over Soca 2012 songs I love

Some people like the bubbling ragga-soca, some like the social commentary, many love all soca in general. Me, I like the soca that tell stories but I love the wukup do bad, juk down, fast paced, hard beat soca, not any and every one though. The generic 'wave ya flag', 'wuk up wuk up' won't always get my attention. It's May 2012 and I've heard a few online that I enjoy. Nothing yet from Nard or John Mahameed who I always look forward to hearing. There are one or two from my other favorites Madd, Peter Ram, Lil Rick. Most of the new generation calypso have a few elements of dancehall, some slightly spooge-themed I've realised. Props to all the young producers. Below is a list of  Barbados Crop Over Soca 2012 songs I love so far.

Peechink Riddim

Blue Diesel Riddim - Platta Studios
Crimeson - Throw a tantrum (Soundtrack of my weeks for the past few months, always looking forward to weekends)

Marry-Go-Round Riddim - Play Evolution Entertainment

Stall Up Riddim - Jafar 'Da Prezident' Burnett-Hinds (Renaissance Entertainment)
Stiffy, Jagwa - Delete (nonsense broadcasts would make you get delete)

Haven't heard a combo like this in a while. A bubbly social-commentary-ish tune about Peter with his newish purple-heart house and his neighbor Maizy with having a voracious wood ants problem. 'You wood ants eating my wood'. The always comical Madd weighs in having the same problem

Every bajan knows about 'Days'. The most watched delayed show that started from eons ago on our local channel 8. In this song Stiffy goes home to his wife, hungry and looking for food but nothing has been cooked because his gal is watching DOOL, when he tries to disrupt the obsessive tv watching, he gets beaten by her.

This is the tune. So much meaning in this one for me. It speaks about the 'white people', probably upper-class and middle class bajan white teenagers or 20 somethings and their weekend doings. Blue Box Cart band gonna rape this song. I especially love the break at 2.32 secs. Great stuff. There is a dance dubstep remix too.

Alison Hinds - Soca Til We Die (Greenlight Riddim) [Produced by Blood ReddHedd Records]
The soca queen at it again. Lovely, this should be a BIG hit!

Crab Soldier - Lewwe Cheat (Gigabyte Riddim) [Produced by GINO-Xplicit Studios]

'Brace bubble, down to de ground, sain like crimeson mix up wit pong, sain like jones, work, guh down'

Soca Ninja - Don't arrest me (Greengold Records)
Has to be the most hardcore generic beat for me so far.

Dutty Android - Wineing dan [Prduced by Monstapiece x Peter Coppin]
The 'Conduckta' shows his talent on a smooth, sweet and groovy riddim.

All the songs on the Crazy Jab riddim produced by some big heavyweights, King Bubba, Gorg, Dwaingerous. Slightly reminiscent of the Popso of 2011

special mention Rebel Glam x Fantom Dundeal
looking forward to the rest of the crop over season 2012 releases.
